Terms of Service

Vennify Inc created the Kaku app, which is available for IOS and Android and also created the website Kaku.ca. This Terms of Service applies to all websites, mobile apps, and events created or performed by Vennify Inc. For simplicity, we will refer to all of these as our "services." If you use our services, then you agree to the terms outlined below.

Information

Our services require collecting, storing and distributing your information to other users and businesses. An explanation of how we use your data can be found in our Privacy Policy. By accepting the Terms of Service, then you also agree to Vennify Inc's Privacy Policy.

Eligibility:

Below are the requirements to be eligible to sign up for our services.

You are a university student attending either Queen's University with a valid school-issued university email address or you have special permission from Vennify Inc to use our services for testing purposes.
You are at least 18 years old.

Rules:

You must obey the following rules when you use our services.

You must not abuse anyone who may or may not be a member of our services, which includes but is not limited to sending threats and insults.
You must not do anything that may damage our services.
You must not web scrape or use any other automated tool to collect information.
You must not do anything that can be considered illegal by local, state, provincial, national or international laws.
You must not upload copyrighted material without explicit permission from the copyright holder.
You must not upload any other material that you may not have the rights to upload, including trademarks and intellectual property.
You must not spam content, including uploading posts and sending messages at a fast rate that's not in line with typical user behaviour.
You must not upload content under an identity that is not your own.
You must not upload any content that contains malware.
You must not post objectionable material, which includes but is not limited to posts that contain pornography, gratuitous violence and or hate speech.

Terms of Termination:

We have the right to suspend or permanently delete your account at our sole discretion without notice or liability and for any reason, including but not limited to violating one of the rules outlined above.

Permissions:

By submitting content to our services, you grant us a worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable, nonexclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to edit, store, use, host, display, distribute, translate, publish and modify the content.

We are allowed to use any idea, concept or intellectual property you provide to us without giving any compensation to you. We can also disclose the idea, concept or intellectual property to anyone.

Ownership:

You're not allowed to copy or modify our mobile apps. Also, you're not allowed to extract the source code of the apps, and you are not allowed to translate the apps into other languages or make any other derivative versions. The apps themselves, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to our services belong to us.

Internet Use:

We are not responsible for any internet service charges that may occur from using our services.

Updates:

We are committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For those reasons, we reserve the right to make changes to the app at any time. These updates may not be compatible with your device.

Disclaimer:

You acknowledge that you assume all responsibilities regarding the inherent risk of uploading data to the internet. As in, you acknowledge that no internet service, including the services provided by Vennify Inc, are risk-free in terms of privacy and security, and you accept all responsibilities and risks associated with using our services. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by the law. We do not claim that our services are perfectly secure, error-free and contain accurate information. We are also not responsible for anything that you or any other user may submit to our services or you or another user's conduct.

Liability:

Vennify Inc provides services on an "as is" basis. In no way will we or any of our directors, agents, or employees be liable for any damages. This includes both indirect and direct damages. As such, we are not responsible for any damages, including but not limited to a loss of data, goodwill, intangible losses, monetary losses and physical losses.

Changes to the Terms and Service:

We may update our Terms and Service from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Service on this page.
